My neighbor takes care of her husband 24/7, also paying $38/hr x 6 hrs/day (minimum) x 3 days/week for licensed in-home care on a plan developed by a nurse. Primarily she just can’t bathe him herself. She gets zero respite care or down time. The actual care providers earn $20 of the $38.
